LinkedIn TwitterStevie started with the company in 2010 coming from a background of account management for businesses ranging from mid-sized to corporate, including supermarkets and large UK retailers.
Stevie is the third generation of the family at Firth & Scott and starting as an apprentice in the Personal Lines team dealing with home, motor and travel, she has progressed through different roles within the business until February 2016 when she joined the board of directors.
Managing a growing account of business; Stevie deals with all aspects of commercial insurance including professional indemnity, liabilities, fleet and packages for clients ranging from sole traders to multi-national companies. One of Stevie’s key areas is assisting new business start-ups, advising them on their business requirements and providing essential support throughout periods of growth.
Stevie was awarded a scholarship with a global insurance company and through it became qualified to DipCII status, achieving distinctions in all modules. She continues to study towards her ACII, which will make her a Chartered Insurance Broker. In 2013 Stevie was recognised for her achievements as a young broker and won a national industry award; The Insurance Times Award for IT Pack Member of the Year as well as the Nottingham Insurance Institute Young Achiever award. Also in 2014 Stevie was a “Highly Commended Finalist” in the national British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) “Young Achiever of The Year 2014” competition.
In 2016 Stevie not only passed her Diploma in Insurance, but was pleased to find her hard studying had earned her the highest marks in the country and she was awarded the John Poel Prize by the Chartered Insurance Institute.
At the Broker Network Conference she also beat off stiff competition to win the Rising Star Of The Year Award award at the inaugural Broker Network Awards Ceremony.
Stevie passed her Advanced Diploma in Insurance in 2021, meaning that she has been awarded the title of ACII, Chartered Insurance Broker.

LinkedInSteve began his career at Zurich Insurance as a commercial underwriter in 1985. In 1992 he moved to Thomas Howell, now Crawford’s, to become a Loss Adjuster, where he spent 10 years before moving to Firth & Scott, taking the reins for business continuity from his father Derek following his retirement.
Steve has a wealth of technical skills and his loss adjusting expertise is a great benefit to our staff and clients in event of a claim.
Tracey is one of our longest serving members of staff having joined Firth & Scott in 1987 as part of the personal lines department. She has a wealth of knowledge and is responsible for processing new policies, renewals, mid-term adjustments and claims for personal lines including motor, home, caravan and travel insurance.
Tracey works 4 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Nicola spent two years on a youth training scheme with an insurance brokers in Nottingham, where she was trained by the experienced members of the brokerage. After two years, she was taken on as a permanent member of staff, dealing mainly with personal insurance.
She initially dealt with personal insurance after joining Firth & Scott in 1994, before advancing her skills and moving into commercial lines, specialising in property owners’ business insurance and commercial vehicles.
Nicola works 3-days a week, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9:00am – 4:30pm.
Carol-Ann Joined Firth & Scott in December 2018 with many years of insurance experience, initially in personal lines insurance before becoming a commercial insurance underwriter. Carol-Ann worked at Aviva Insurance for 29 years and moved into broking as a commercial account handler in 2016.
Carol-Ann works 2-days per week, Monday & Tuesday
Charlotte joined the Firth & Scott team in 2021. Charlotte was new to the insurance business after leaving her previous profession in manufacturing accounting. As of March 2022, Charlotte began undertaking her CertCII studies and looks forward to expanding her knowledge and progression within the team.
Charlotte works 3 days a week Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 am – 5:00pm
Hayley joined the Firth & Scott team in August 2022. Hayley was new to the Insurance business after leaving her previous role as a Rota and Staffing Manager for a large care provider and is keen to learn and develop her knowledge of the industry. Hayley will be working towards her CertCII studies and looks forward to developing within the team.
